This 330-mile trail stretches from southern West Virginia to the Pennsylvania line near Coopers Rock State Forest. It passes through or near three state parks, four state forests, two designated national wilderness areas and the Monongahela, George Washington and Jefferson national forests. Buffalo Lake Recreational Area
You'll find trout, bass and catfish in the 55-acre lake. Also: swimming area, trolling motor rentals, paddleboats and aqua cycles, picnic shelters and play areas.
Cathedral State Park
132 acres of centuries-old virgin hemlock and hardwoods. Hiking and cross country ski trails, picnic areas.
Morgantown, Edgewater Marina,
1,730-acre lake offers canoe, pontoon, power boat and ski boat rentals; docking and launching facilities; food services.

Coopers Rock State Forest

The state's largest forest (12,700 acres) offers scenic overlooks, 25 campsites with electricity, fishing, hunting, picnicking, playground, hiking trails, cross country ski trails, souvenir shop, and the Henry Clay Iron Furnace. I-68 Exit 15, follow signs.

Walk, jog or bike 2.5 miles from Pricketts Fort State Park to downtown Fairmont, including a trip through a lighted tunnel. The "MC" is for "Marion County."
North Bend Rail Trail
Passing westward to North Bend State Park through several quaint towns, this scenic, 72-mile trail is suited to hiking, biking and horseback riding, and is part of the coast to coast American Discovery Trail. Its 10 tunnels helped it earn the ranking of one of the top rail trails in the mid-Atlantic.
Pleasant Creek Wildlife Management Area
Camping, hiking and fishing on 3,373 acres.
Teter Creek Lake Wildlife
Fishing, camping, hiking, boat rentals, play areas within this 136-acre recreational area.
Tygart Lake State Park

The lake stretches 11 miles, offering boating, swimming, fishing and scuba diving. The Williams Marina provides boat rentals and a concessions stand. Park facilities include 20-room lodge, restaurant, 10 deluxe cabins, 40 campsites (14 with electric, 16 for RVs), nearby golf course, game courts, gift shop, playground, hiking trails.
Valley Falls State Park
A 1,145-acre day park with fishing, picnicking, whitewater rafting, and 18 miles of hiking, mountain bike trails.
Veterans Memorial Park
A 50-meter pool and waterslide, 18-hole miniature golf course, fitness trail, lighted tennis and basketball courts, volleyball court and picnic shelters with grills are features of this 50-acre park. Call the same number for information about other city parks.
Watters Smith Memorial State Park

Wave Tek Pool/Water Slide and East Marion Park
32-acre park offers wave pool and water slide, tennis, jogging trails, miniature golf, picnicking, and more. I-79 Exit 135, follow signs.
West Fork River Rail Trail
